Tesla has officially launched Autopark for Cybertruck, marking the first major step in the pickup’s release of the Autopilot and Full Self-Driving suites, which have yet to be fully activated.

Tesla Cybertruck will eventually equip the complete Autopilot and Full Self-Driving suites, but the automaker needed to deal with the various changes the vehicle has compared to the others in its lineup. Several factors, along with a drastic change in ride height, made the automaker delay the initial release of the Full Self-Driving suite to the pickup.

However, Tesla has been teasing the release of one of the Full Self-Driving suite’s features, Autopark, for some time. For months, the company has hinted that it would be the first FSD feature to be activated on Cybertruck, and plans for a late August release came and went.

But Tesla has come through on its launch of the feature, as it officially rolled out late last night:

The release notes state:

“You vehicle can now automatically park — and parallel park — in designated spaces. When you’re driving at low speed, your display highlights potential parking spaces. Autopark shows a square P symbol to suggest a space, but you can choose any highlighted space.

To start parking, stop the vehicle, press Start, and release the steering wheel so it can move freely. Refer to the Owner’s Manual for more detail.

As with all Autopilot features, you must continue to pay attention and be ready to take immediate action, including canceling Autopark by pressing the brake or taking control of the steering wheel.”

To gain access to this feature, you have to have purchased or subscribed to Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) program.
