Tesla eliminates 80% of its in-house Cybertruck wrap options

Tesla has eliminated 80 percent of its in-house Cybertruck wrap options, effectively showing the company did not have enough interest to continue offering the service in such an expanded way.

The Tesla Cybertruck comes in one “color,” stainless steel. To give owners some form of personalization, it started offering wraps in very select markets, including Texas and California.

The wrap service has been completely eliminated in Texas, and has wound down to just three color options from its previous eleven in California, according to DriveTesla.

Tesla initially offered Matte Black and Satin White, before expanding to five total wrap options. This then expanded to eleven.

Now, Tesla’s website is only showing three available colors: Satin Rose gold, Satin Stealth Black, and Satin Ceramic White. Rose Gold costs $6,500, while the Black and White options are $6,000.

Tesla did not detail why it chose to eliminate so many of the color options, but it might be because it simply was not popular enough. Many Cybertruck owners have gone with super unique wraps for their vehicles, and Tesla likely kept these three colors because they were the most popular.

Wraps are a great option for those who want personalization or simply want to protect their Cybertruck’s exoskeleton from being damaged.

The Cybertruck is also not a great vehicle for hiding fingerprints, which show up very easily. To remove these and keep the Cybertruck looking clean without a wrap, there is no fix other than a rag and some cleaner; many use glass cleaner.
