Tesla Sweden introduced lower interest rates for Model Y and Model 3 vehicles, making the electric vehicles (EVs) more affordable. Tesla rolled out 0.00% interest for the Model Y.

According to Tesla Sweden: “The fixed nominal rate of 0.00% for Model Y or the floating nominal rate of 1.99% for Model 3 Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and Long Range “All-Wheel-Drive (AWD)” only applies to the first car allocated to you and delivered no later than September 30, 2024.”

Tesla sells four Model Y variants in Sweden: the based RWD, Long Range RWD, Long Range AWD, and Performance AWD. Tesla Model Y prices range from DKK 554,170 and DKK 602,170 to DKK 634,170 and DKK 684,170, respectively.

CarUp states that new Tesla Model Y units in Sweden are now cheaper than most used vehicles, including a three-year-old Tesla. A new Tesla Model Y’s monthly costs, which could start at SEK 3,325 excluding VAT, is half the monthly costs of a new Volvo XC60.

The Tesla Model Y became Sweden’s most registered vehicle in March 2024. It was the top registered vehicle in Sweden for the first half of the year.

Tesla is due to release a new Model Y design soon. It is currently under the codename Model Y Juniper. Tesla will reportedly unveil the new Model Y in China next year.
