the town of Paterna near Valencia, Spain put together a YouTube video intended to convince Elon Musk and Tesla that the country was the best suited area in Europe for a potential Tesla factory Why? Because it was near the port of Valencia with its excellent railway connections to the rest of the Continent. Even better, the weather is very similar to Silicon Valley, so Tesla personnel would feel right at home there.
Since then, Tesla hasn’t said any more about a European factory, but it is anxious to expand its sales and Supercharger facilities within the country. As seen through the company’s job listings page, Tesla is advertising for a Sales Advisor and Tesla Product Specialists in Barcelona. According to the job description, “This person will function with the use of a shared test drive car from the store, working with the store manager and product specialists to grow both retail and fleet sales.”
The Sales Advisor will be primarily responsible for helping introduce the Model X to the Spanish market. The successful candidate will work with the store manager and product specialists to grow retail and fleet sales and conduct “external test drive events from time to time.” Interested persons can apply online. The only requirements, other than extensive sales experience, is fluency in English and having a valid driver’s license.
Tesla also has several other openings in Barcelona including an engineering intern, marketing specialists, and a Supercharger Installation Manager. In addition these new positions, Tesla is also seeking to boost its sales staffing at its upcoming showroom store in Madrid.
Tesla continues to expand its Supercharger network across Europe and into new markets as it continues to knock out recording breaking delivery numbers and prepares for the arrival of its much anticipated Model 3.
