DragTimes has previously brought us the much celebrated video of the Tesla Model S P85 edging out a new Corvette C7 Z51, but this time they’re pitting the Tesla against a 570 horsepower lightweight Lamborghini track car.
The $300,000 Lamborghini Super Trofeo Stradale is not only three times pricier than the Tesla Model S but also 1,300 lbs (590 kg) lighter.

It’s no surprise that the Lamborghini’s top end horsepower will ultimately prevail in an all out drag race to the finish line, but Tesla’s instantaneous torque combined with a shiftless and uninterrupted powerband makes the car able to take on even the finest of Italian supercars.
