Tesla China’s configurator now includes the new Tesla Model 3 Highland edition. Tesla has updated 50% of the Model 3 in the latest refresh.
The Model 3 Highland edition is displayed at the very top of Tesla China’s website. Right above the picture of the new Model is the caption “refresh version” in Chinese.
The Tesla Model 3 refresh is available in two variants in China: the RWD version and the Dual-Motor AWD for a price of RMB 259,900 ($35,809.26) and RMB 295,900 ($40,769.37), respectively. Tesla China has not yet listed a Performance variant of the new Model 3 refresh.
The Model 3 Highland may qualify for China’s national vehicle purchase tax exemption policy. According to Tesla, any vehicles purchased before December 31, 2023, is eligible for the tax credit.
The refresh Model 3 RWD’s range is 606 km or about 373 miles, based on China’s CLTC estimates. Meanwhile, Tesla China’s website states that the Dual-Motor AWD version of the new Model 3 features 682 km or 424 miles of range per charge based on CLTC estimates.
The top speed of the new Model 3 RWD is 200 km/h or around 56 miles per hour. It can reach 0-100 km (62 miles) in 6.1 seconds. The Model 3 Dual Motor AWD, on the other hand, features a 0-100 km time of 4.4 seconds. Tesla offers the pure black paint color for free in China. White and Blue paint costs an extra RMB 8,000 ($1,103.66), while the gray and red paint options cost an additional RMB 12,000 ($1,655.49)
The Tesla Model 3 refresh comes with 18” Photon wheels, which deliver a cruising range of up to 713 km (443 miles), based on CLTC estimates. Tesla China also offers the 19” Nova wheels for an additional RMB 6,000 ($827.73). The Nova wheels can provide a cruising range of up to 682 km ( about 424 miles) based on CLTC estimates.
Tesla’s estimated delivery time for the Highland edition is Q4, so it is still a few months away for anyone who orders it now. But the Tesla Model 3 Highland edition would be one great Christmas present.
