The Tesla Cybertruck is heading back to Japan, this time to Fukuoka Prefecture.

The Tesla Cybertruck will visit Fukuoka between Friday, September 27, and Friday, October 04, 2024. It will be a short visit, so planning ahead is recommended for anyone who wants to see the Cybertruck in person.

Earlier this year, in February 2024, the Tesla Cybertruck visited Tokyo after its tour in China. At the time, Teslarati speculated that the Cybertruck’s Japan visit might be Tesla’s way of stirring up sales in the country. Musk has commented that Tesla’s market share in Japan was “remarkably low.” He noted that Tesla should have a market share proportionate to that of non-Japanese car makers like Mercedes Benz or BMW.

Fukuoka Prefecture is the capital of Kyushu Island and offers various types of porcelain, including Arita, Imari, Satsuma, and Karatsu. Besides Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, Nagasaki, and Oita are also located on Kyushu Island. Fukuoka and other prefectures in the north of Kyushu Island have industries focused on automobiles, semiconductors, and metal processing.

When the Cybertruck visited Tokyo, it turned many heads. Tesla’s electric pickup truck usually attracts people with its unique design. Given the industries and artisans in Fukuoka, however, the people in the prefecture might find the Cybertruck interesting for other reasons.
