Tesla’s in-car Navigation has experienced a huge improvement in a recent software update that included a simple feature.
Tesla’s in-car Navigation is one of the best features available in terms of the car’s tech — it features satellite imagery and Live Traffic Status updates as long as you have Premium Connectivity.
However, the presence of the Nav on the massive center screen is a great touch that makes it one of the best systems in the entire automotive industry.
Now, Tesla is adding a new improvement that will undoubtedly help drivers avoid unnecessary delays.
According to Not a Tesla App, Tesla has added Construction to the in-car Nav, helping drivers recognize potential roadwork on their preferred route, which usually causes delays.
The addition of Construction on the in-car Nav came with Software Update 2024.32.
Construction delays were recognized previously and were considered during the route guidance; however, the vehicle will now show the area of the roadwork with an icon, roughly estimating its location.
In order to get the construction icon, you will need Premium Connectivity, which includes Live Traffic Visualization and Satellite-View Maps. Navigation is a standard feature, but you will need the other two features to enable construction recognition.
Tesla’s in-car Navigation has gotten plenty of new features over the past year, including some that owners have requested from CEO Elon Musk.
