Hyundai Motor Group is collaborating with the Dutch Government to deliver real-time traffic and safety data to drivers on the road.

Hyundai and the Dutch Government plan to deploy smart mobility and connectivity services to Hyundai and Kia vehicles in the Netherlands. The collaboration will be between Hyundai Motor Group’s AVP (Advanced Vehicle Platform) Division, Kia Connect GmbH, and Dutch infrastructure systems.

Hyundai, Kia, and the Dutch Government’s cooperative work enables Hyundai and Kia drivers in the Netherlands to receive critical traffic and safety information while traveling. For instance, they may receive real-time traffic accident data, alerts of approaching ambulances, and other helpful information that may alleviate traffic congestion.

“Hyundai Motor Group will enhance connectivity services and improve in-vehicle customer convenience through collaboration with the Netherlands. The shared data will help improve road safety, while the project will also support the global development of the Group’s smart mobility and connectivity services and features,” said Hyundai Motor Group President Chang Song.

Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with several companies and entities to expand its offerings. Last week, the company announced a strategic partnership with Japanese material manufacturer Toray Industries. Hyundai aims to develop materials to enhance electric vehicle performance with Toray Industries.
