Tesla Model 3 interior features: Steering wheel adjustments, glovebox, coat hooks, vanity mirror, and more

After temporarily satisfying the appetites of eager prospective Model 3 owners, the O-C-Detailer is back with another close-up look at more of the mass-market Tesla’s overlooked details.

Owner of OCDetailing, Joe Torbati, has recently provided us with a look at Model 3’s battery cooling vents and other exterior features, and his most recent video takes a peek at some of the hidden interior details. In specific, Joe highlights Model 3’s creature comforts including front steering wheel knobs, coat hooks, glovebox, USB ports, and more.

It’s worth noting that some of Model 3’s features have yet to be activated and will arrive in future over-the-air software updates, like cloud-synched seating positions, easy-exit steering wheel, and more.

Steering wheel adjustments

One of the few physical buttons that Model 3 has are located on the steering wheel. The buttons located on each side of the steering wheel can be toggled in multiple directions but also act as a scroll wheel. The steering wheel can be raised, lowered and adjusted through the steering wheel buttons. For example, scrolling the left steering wheel button upwards will raise the steering wheel.

Smart phone dock

Tesla offers a variety Model 3 phone charging cables that can plug into the vehicle’s phone dock. Although Tesla does not offer a wireless smart phone charging feature, as Joe points out in his video, one Model S owner documented steps on how to build a wireless charging dock for the Tesla in a DIY video.

We won’t describe all of the interior features that Joe covers in his comprehensive video, but here’s a shortcut to some of the ones being highlighted.
