Tesla Head of Investor Relations Martin Viecha recently posted a crucial reminder for TSLA shareholders who wish to bring a guest to the upcoming 2023 Cyber Roundup, the electric vehicle maker’s Annual Shareholder Meeting. The executive’s post comes amid the company’s efforts to send out more invitations for the upcoming event.
Earlier this month, Tesla surprised the EV community by announcing that its 2023 Annual Shareholder Meeting, dubbed the 2023 Cyber Roundup, would be held on May 16 at Gigafactory Texas. While the location of the event was no surprise considering Giga Texas is also Tesla’s US headquarters, the early date for the annual meeting caught the attention of many.
When Tesla announced the event, Viecha noted on Twitter that TSLA shareholders must make it a point to verify their status through the company’s Investor Relations website if they wish to be invited as a guest. A recent post from the executive suggests that some of the 2023 Cyber Roundup’s attendees’ are not necessarily following the company’s instructions.
“Folks, too many people are not filling out their +1 guest name & email address in their Annual Meeting invite. Make sure you invite your fellow Tesla supporter! (they need to be a registered shareholder),” Viecha wrote in a post on Twitter.
In another post, the executive also noted that the second batch of invites for the 2023 Cyber Roundup had been sent. Similar to his reminder when the company sent out its first batch of invitations for the event, Viecha advised Tesla shareholders to check their spam folders for the invitation. As per Tesla’s previous reminders, those who are invited to attend the meeting should RSVP within the next 48 hours.
Last year’s Cyber Roundup was quite interesting, and despite a rather turbulent shareholder proposal segment, Musk’s discussions about Tesla and its plans for the future were well received. At the time, Musk discussed several key topics, from FSD Beta to Tesla’s plans to produce 20 million vehicles annually by the end of the decade. This year, the Cyber Roundup will likely be very compelling as well, as it could herald the return of Tesla co-founder JB Straubel, this time as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.
