Fisker Ocean owners are breathing a huge sigh of relief now that they have confirmed a variety of locations across the United States and Canada where they can have their vehicles serviced.
Fisker has been one of the more notable stories in the EV sector in 2024, as the company filed for bankruptcy protection, fans saw corporate offices abandoned, and owners had no idea where they would be getting their cars fixed.
Fisker’s bankruptcy leaves owners without answers and scrambling for help
In June, we reported on some owners claiming their vehicles were “bricked,” meaning they could not be driven. With the company’s financial state in clear distress, owners were concerned they might have lost tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle that simply would not be driveable due to a lack of service points.
Now, the Fisker Owners Association (FOA) has released a lengthy list of 23 approved service shops that can service the Ocean EV. There are 20 in the U.S. and 3 in Canada.
FOA spokesperson Clint Bagley told us that these 23 shops are in possession of the FAST diagnostic tool, which is a necessity for servicing Fisker vehicles.
The Owners Association has been in contact with service centers for months, attempting to find places where Fisker Ocean drivers can have their vehicles taken care of.
There are still other options at hand that are being worked out. Attorneys at Hagens Berman are still working with 800 Ocean owners using the “Holder Rule” to potentially recover the money they spent on the vehicle.
