Tesla Taiwan is partnering with Costco to sell its electric vehicles.
To celebrate Tesla Taiwan’s partnership with Costco, the company is offering three charging benefits to the first 50 buyers. The first 50 people to purchase a Tesla from a Costco in Taiwan will receive 5,000 km of free supercharging, a Type 2 travel charging case, and wall-mounted charging equipment for their home.
Costco has partnered with an Elon Musk-led company in the past. In 2023, Costco started selling Starlink’s high-performance dish for $2,499. The Costco Starlink sales offered two months of free internet service at the beginning.

Costco and Tesla’s partnership isn’t unique to the expanding electric vehicle industry either. Automakers are slowly diversifying their sales methods by stepping out of dealerships and finding more inventive ways to sell vehicles. For example, Hyundai partnered with Amazon to sell electric vehicles. Hyundai and Amazon’s partnership started with EV sales in the United States and later expanded to Europe.
Tesla Taiwan’s Costco sales might be the testing ground for similar sales methods across Southeast Asia.
