The Fisker Ocean Extreme’s price was cut in the United States before the company opens orders for all Ocean trim levels in 2024. Fisker cut the price of its top-level Ocean Extreme electric vehicle by $7,500 from $68,999 to $61,499.
“It is essential that Fisker responds to competitive realities in the rapidly growing EV market,” Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker said. “We want our customers to have greater access to the Ocean and to be able to take advantage of its exciting combination of innovative features, striking design, sustainable materials, and class-leading range.”
The price reduction is effective immediately. Customers who have already ordered or purchased an Ocean Extreme vehicle will receive a $7,500 price adjustment, even if their order is already in production.
The Ocean Extreme’s price does not include delivery, finance, title, registration, and other government fees. It also applies to the base Extreme model. The price may vary depending on customers’ configurations. Customers are asked to pay $250 to reserve a Fisker Ocean.
The Ocean Extreme has a 113 kWh battery pack with an estimated EPA range of 360 miles. Fisker claims the Ocean Extreme has the longest range of any new electric SUV in its class. It can run 0-60 mph in 3.7 seconds and has a peak horsepower of 564.
“We expect our overall margins will be unaffected because higher Sport and Ultra pricing, combined with our cost-reduction initiatives and lower input prices, will support the anticipated trajectory of our profits,” stated Fisker.
The company plans to open orders for all Fisker Ocean trim levels next year. It also expects to raise the prices in the United States of the Ocean Ultra and Sports trim levels by November 6, 2023. The existing Sport and Ultra prices will be available until November 5, 2023.
