Hyundai India launched its new “I Choose Hyundai” campaign amid its pending initial public offering (IPO).

The South Korean automaker’s campaign in India is driving the narrative #IndiaDrivesHyundai. Through the “I Choose Hyundai” campaign, the legacy automaker is committing to the Indian customer’s needs, comfort, and owner experience.

Hyundai recently released a commercial to kick off the campaign. The commercial was released in six languages: Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu. Through the commercial, the South Korean automaker teases the array of vehicles it is offering in the Indian auto market, from internal combustion engine (ICE) cars to all-electric vehicles.

The “I Choose Hyundai” campaign rolled out right after the Asian automaker filed for an IPO in India, estimated to raise $3 billion. It is expected to be the largest IPO in India. India’s Securities and Exchange Board is expected to reject or approve the IPO over the next few months.

Hyundai Motor Group, which owns brands including Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis, has been expanding its presence in India. For instance, in April, Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation shared their plans to produce electric vehicle batteries in India. Hyundai and Kia reportedly planned to work with Exide Energy, a leading Indian battery company, to localize LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cell production for electric vehicles.

Hyundai Motor Group has three car manufacturing plants in India with an estimated production capacity of 1 million units. Hyundai plans to invest more in India over the next decade with electric vehicle offerings, charging stations, and battery packs.
