The Rivian R1S is now available through the automaker’s online shop. Customers may now purchase or lease an R1S through Rivian’s shop and take delivery within a month.
“We’ve expanded our popular lease program to now include select R1S Quad-Motor AWD configurations with Large pack for $1,169/month. In many cases, you can take delivery in just 1–2 weeks. Get your winter adventure started now,” noted Rivian in an email.
Rivian’s lease offer is only available in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, MI, MO, NJ, NY, NV, PA, TX, and WA. Rivian informed Teslarati that R1S leasing started on January 17, 2024. To get a monthly lease price of $1,169, customers must be a “very well” qualified lessee who takes delivery on or before January 31, 2024. Qualified lessees may lease a new Rivian R1S Adventure Package for 36 months with 30,000 miles.
The offer only applies to Rivian R1S vehicles that total $100,800 before dealer options. The $100,800 R1S vehicle comprises the following choices: Quad Motor AWD, large battery pack ($92,000) + premium paint ($2,500) + premium interior ($2,000) + premium wheel ($2,500) + destination fee ($1,800).
Rivian R1S leesees must pay $9,064 at signing. The amount includes the signing cost of $7,000 (with the $1,000 deposit), a $1,169 first monthly payment, and a $895 acquisition fee. Tax, title, license, and registration fees will also be due at signing but are not included in the $9,064 payment.
Rivian also asks for a security deposit, which may come out to $0 for some customers if they qualify.
“Offer includes upfront capitalized cost reduction of $7,500 provided by the lessor,” states Rivian.
