Tesla has launched an additional wrap color as part of its Paint Protection Film (PPF) offerings, alongside seven others that were launched just months ago.

In October, Tesla launched its first PPF wrap program for the Model 3 and Model Y, and the company’s online shop now shows an eighth color available, dubbed Satin Abyss Blue. At the time of writing, the new wrap color is available for $6,000, which is the same price as four of the other protective film colors.

Tesla currently offers the following wrap colors in its shop:

  • Glacier Blue — $6,000
  • Forest Green — $6,000
  • Satin Rose Gold — $6,000
  • Slip Gray — $5,700
  • Satin Ceramic White — $5,700
  • Satin Stealth Black — $5,700
  • Crimson Red: $6,000
  • Satin Abyss Blue: $6,000 (new)

At this time, Tesla’s PPF wraps are installed at just two select service centers in California, located in West Covina and Oceanside, and only for 2023 model-year vehicles. The automaker also says that the $5,700-$6,000 purchase price includes both installation and materials.

Tesla also notes that PPF wraps offer several benefits, as listed below:

  • Self-healing, urethane-based film
  • 2x thicker than vinyl on average
  • Protects against scratches
  • More environmentally friendly than traditional vinyl wraps

Tesla also says it will offer a loaner vehicle to users while having their Model 3 or Model Y wraps installed, and it lists a number of other useful information in its frequently asked questions. While PPF wraps aren’t currently available for the Model S or Model X, several Cybertruck wraps have been spotted in the last few months, and it’s been rumored that Tesla plans to launch an official wrap service for the electric pickups soon.

Tesla may offer Cybertruck wraps within six months of initial deliveries
